2013 Races:

May - Pittsburgh Marathon (started, but DNF about the half way point)
June - Riverview 5k  - Bummed I missed signing up for this one. It's one of my favorites!
Sept - Gatorade/Steelers 5k. (Signed up!)
Sept - IKEA Montour Trail Half  (prob not, but leaving it on here)
Sept - The Great Race 10k (My Running 101 goal race)
Nov - Dirt Monster 5mi (Gotta do it again no matter what!)

Long-Term Running Goals:

Finish recovering from my injuries and build mileage.  That is all.

Personal:

My name is Wes, I'm married with two wonderful children. The nickname BaldNSpicy came from the fact that I have been balding for a (long) while now and spicy for my love of very spicy foods (Thai and extremely hot wings are my favorites).  If eating doesn't bring me near tears and leave me sweating, it's not worth eating.  :-)

Oh, and I'm also known for my doorags.

I'll have to put in my workouts from the past few weeks, but they've been few and far between.

I'm all signed up for the Pittsburgh Full in May and last night my company had their training kickoff. They're not doing formal training, but offered up the training plans and we could sign up for running groups, etc.  I signed up for a couple, but we'll see how it goes.  I didn't know anyone on the lists, so it could be a mixed bag.

I picked up the beginner full plan since it looks like something I could do.  Long run is only 18, but with only about 12 weeks or so to get ready for this, I figure I'll "race" the first half+ then run/walk the rest.

Today was just 30 mins on the TM, watching my HR since it got too cold to go outside.  HR was higher than I'd expect for the pace, but I think it's to be expected since it's been a week since I ran last.  The ladies weren't too happy I came out of the locker room about 7:03 when they close at 7:00.  They must have a life or something...I was heading back upstairs to put in a couple more hours. I was happy to get 3 more minutes away from the desk.  :-)

Here's to preparing for the full!
